We've all had them. Now I want to hear about them. Favorite venue, favorite food, favorite drink, favorite bar. Favorite fans. I'm going to compile the list and create a best of for everyone to enjoy. Of course I love the Shoe and many of my great experiences have occurred at Buckeye games, but I've also enjoyed games across the country. Jordan-Hare, Beaver Stadium, Sun Devil, Rose Bowl, Boulder to name a few. My drink is scotch - even on game day. A good Vodka and Cranberry never hurt though. Favorite foods have always been brats, burgers, and chili on a cooler fall afternoon.
The experience always begins with travel. Living in DC gives me access to Maryland and Navy, but I generally like to travel to better schools. The anticipation of going to a game is thrilling for me.
The best experience occurs just as fall is starting. The weather in the morning is chilly, warm in the afternoon, but not hot. Perfect for grilling, drinking and watching the game. I'm positive I get this from growing up in the midwest. Fall means college football.
I like all passionate fans, even if I hate the team they support. Football is about passion and fans who lack it are not real fans. I like the chants, the songs, the bands and the dying loyalty regardless of their team's success.
All of this represents the best environment for enjoying college football. Anyone else care to add anything?
